The Chophouse is a higher end restaurant serving the finer chops, steaks, and seafood. We try very hard to use prime steaks and chops which offers much marbling (even distribution of fat) to allow for more tender and flavorful goodness. Our Seafood is always fresh daily from Black River Produce. We arguably have the best wine selection around and supply some of the most popular and well-known names such as Rodney Strong, Robert Mondavi, Opus one and much more!
Our main concern was providing a great product with a great price when we opened. This was a big obstacle because when you are dealing with "prime” foods, the cost could be up to 70% more than the food you get in other restaurants. But with our buying power and negotiations we have been able to buy great products and sell to appreciative consumers for as little to no additional costs than most “choice” products in other restaurants. Also I have minimized labor costs by eliminating the middle men, which also allows us to lower our prices. A bit unorthodox in the restaurant world, but my original goal was to offer a great product for a great price which sets us apart from other restaurants.
Our most popular items are a 30oz Tomahawk Prime Rib Eye Steak which takes up more than a quarter of a dining table and our famous Chophouse Tower which consists of 6 u10 shrimp, lobster tail, oysters, clams, crab legs, and mussels. It is a 3 tier presentation that has a “wow” factor.
The Chef is a world class artist as well as talented culinary graduate. He has crafted a wide range menu which appeals to everyone and offers flavors out of this world. The presentations of all of his food items are exotic and modern.
